Sohail Iqrar

I'm a Data Engineer at IBM with close to a year of hands-on experience working with modern ELT tools and cloud data platforms. Currently, I’m contributing to a data transformation and pipeline automation project for DIRECTV, a subsidiary of AT&T. My day-to-day involves leveraging tools like Snowflake and dbt for data modeling and transformation, as well as orchestrating workflows using Airflow and Dagster to ensure robust and scalable data pipelines.

I began my professional journey with a 12-week internship at IBM, which laid the foundation for my current role. I hold certifications as both a Data Engineer and an Application Developer from IBM, and was honored with a gold medal for topping the Data Engineer Assessment conducted by IBM’s L&K department. My team and I also received gold medals during IBM’s Global Associate Day for outstanding collaboration and performance.

I earned my Bachelor of Engineering degree from Chandigarh University, and I’m originally from New Delhi. With a passion for continuous learning and a strong drive to build impactful data solutions, I’m always exploring new opportunities to deepen my technical expertise and contribute to meaningful data-driven initiatives.
